Pvt Stanley A. Guzaitis attended high school for four years and was employed at the Carnegie Illinois Steel Company before he volunteered for the Army of the United States in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on 26 August 1942.He was wounded by small arms fire in his stomach and kidney on 21 September 1944, he died on 27 September 1944.
He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Andilly, France.
