Pfc Leslie J. Hillier attended high school for four years and was a clerk before he enlisted at Fort Devens, Massachusetts on 10 March 1944. He was sent overseas in August 1944.He died in a general hospital to the effects of artillery shell fragments to his hip and buttock. The exact date when he was reported wounded in action and the location where he was wounded are not known.
