Pfc Eugene P. Deslitch attended high school for two years before he enlisted in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on 26 January 1943.He was killed by small arms fire in his stomach.
He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Hochfelden, France.
