Pfc William P. Stoddard attended a photography school in New York City and was employed at the Glen Oaks Club Inc. before he enlisted at Jefferson Barracks, Missouri on 24 July 1942. He was sent overseas in April 1944.He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Hochfelden, France.
