Pvt Leo Pasley, Jr. was employed at A.P. Green Fire Brick co.He was sent overseas in June 1944.
Per Maj Gen Edward F. Witsell, acting adjutant general of the Army "Pvt Leo Pasley, Jr was attacking an enemy machine gun nest when he was hit by direct fire and severely wounded. He was in an exposed position and could not be reached. This area was subjected to consistent heavy fire and he perished."
