Pvt Thomas M. O’Connell attended high school for four years and was employed at the Manhattan Life Insurance Company before he enlisted in New York City, New York on 4 March 1943.He was killed by artillery shell fragments in his stomach, liver and chest.
He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Andilly, France.
