Pfc Warren E. Cole attended high school for four years and was a photographer before he enlisted at Fort Hayes, Ohio on 12 March 1943.

He was killed by artillery shell fragments to his stomach and leg.

He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Andilly, France.
