Pfc Joseph E. Supsinskas attended high school for one year and worked as a chauffeur's assistant at the Cremo Brewery Company Inc before he enlisted at Fort Devens, Massachusetts on 20 March 1944.

He was killed by artillery shell fragments in his chest.

He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Limey, France.
