Pfc Howard W. Arnold He attended high school for one year and was employed at the U.S. Government before he enlisted at Fort Devens, Massachusetts on 2 February 1942.

He was killed by small arms fire in his thigh and kidney.

He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Andilly, France.
