Pfc Paul E. Littleton attended high school for three years and was employed at the U.S. Post office at Miami Beach before he enlisted at Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia on 29 June 1943.

He was killed by artillery shell fragments to his buttock and hip.

He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Limey, France.
