Sgt Donald R. Davey attended Red Bank High School before he enlisted in Newark, New Jersey on 26 July 1943. He was sent overseas in August 1944.

He was killed by small arms fire fore in his neck.

He is remembered at the Glenwood Cemetery in West Long Branch, Monmouth County, New Jersey.
