Pfc Donald C. Siefer graduated from Rocky Grove High School and was employed at the Mutual Foundry Company before he enlisted in Erie, Pennsylvania on 27 August 1943.

He was killed by small arms fire in his spinal cord.

He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Andilly, France.
