Sgt Anthony J. Stanevich was a foreman at Scovill Manufacturing before he enlisted in Hartford, Connecticut on 11 August 1941.

He was killed by small arms fire in his back.

He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Limey, France.
