Capt Arthur T. Simpson Jr. graduated from Lydia High School and Clemson College. He taught agriculture at Lydia High School.
He enlisted on 10 February 1942 and was sent overseas in July 1944.
He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Limey, France.
He is remembered at the Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery in Elgin, Kershaw County, South Carolina.
