Last November Pfc Prine went overseas with an engineer unit, later being transferred to an infantry replacement battalion. He was sent to the front during the battle of Luxembourg early in January and was reported killed in action on January 6. Mrs. Prine and their two-year-old daughter remained in Dawson Creek.
