Sgt Olen L. Chilson attended Galeton schools and graduated from Towanda High School in 1931.

He was in active service in the Regular Army from 11 January 1933 till 23 April 1935. On 2 September 1937 he reenlisted till 5 January 1940.

He was killed by artillery shell fragments.
