Sgt Raymond P. Thomas attended high school for three years and was a sales clerk, employed by the Brockelmans Bros Co.

He enlisted at Fort Devens, Massachusetts on 5 August 1943.

He was killed in action by small arms fire in the thorax, the buttock and hip.
