Pfc Robert T. Stone graduated from Plainfield High School and was employed at Southern Health and Life Insurance Company.

He enlisted at Camp Blanding, Florida on 29 December 1943.

In November 1944, he was wounded in action in France by artillery shell fragments to his ankle.

He was killed by artillery shell fragments to the head.
