Pvt Fred M. Richardson attended high school for four years and was a heat treater, employed by the Lamson & Sessions Co.

He enlisted at Fort McClellan, Alabama on 6 September 1944 and was sent overseas in January 1945.

He was killed by artillery shell fragments to his head.
