Pfc Chester Krukowski was a lumberman.

He enlisted in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania on 4 October 1944 and had his basic training at Camp Blanding, Florida. He was sent overseas on 2 February 1945.

On 14 August 1945 he and a companion were accidently shot while on guard duty.
