S/Sgt Jerry Smolik was employed by the Western Felt Works.
He enlisted in September 1943.
In October 1944, he was wounded in action in France by small arms fire in his leg. He was hospitalized until December.
S/Sgt Smolik was killed by artillery shell fragments in his leg.
