Pfc Francis D. De Roche was a production worker employed by the Porter Shoe Co.
He enlisted in Boston, Massachusetts on 16 August 1943.
From October 1944 to December he was hospitalized for wounds in the arm and thorax, caused by artillery shell fragments.
From December 1944 to January 1945 he was again hospitalized for a nose decease.
He was killed by artillery shell fragments in the abdomen, pelvis and back.
