Pvt Joseph S. Dalton was a truck driver.

He enlisted in November 1943, trained at Camp Barkeley, Texas and was sent overseas in May 1944. He had been in North the North African, Sicily and southern France campaigns.

He was killed by artillery shell fragments in the head.
