Pvt John C. Sadley was employed by the Crane Co.

He was hospitalized in Italy from February 1944 until May 1944 for cold injuries at the foot.

From September 1944 until October 1944, in France, he was hospitalized again for wounds at his thigh, caused by a fall from a vehicle.

On 11 November 1944, he was killed in action by small arms fire in the neck.
