S/Sgt Thomas F. Duffy attended Holy Cross College for two years.

He volunteered for the Army of the United States at Fort Devens, Massachusetts on 26 March 1943.

In May 1944, in Italy, he was wounded at his leg due to aerial bomb fragments.

He was killed by small arms fire.
