Pfc Edmund Hodgson was a starcher, employed by the Greenwich Bleachery.

He enlisted in Providence, Rhode Island on 30 November 1942.

In August 1944 he was hospitalized for a tonsillitus. He was discharged from the hospital in September.

He was killed by artillery shell fragments.
