Sgt Arthur J. Mulholland attended high school for two years and was employed by the Carbonendum Company before he enlisted in Buffalo, New York on 16 September 1943.

In June 1944, in Italy, he was wounded in the shoulder by artillery shell fragments.

He was killed by artillery shell fragments in the buttock and hip.
