Sgt Walter C. Green attended high school for one year and was an operator in an industrial chemical plant.
He enlisted at Fort McPherson, Georgia on 24 February 1943 and was first stationed at MacDill Airforce Base in Tampa, Florida.
He was killed by artillery shell fragments in the abdomen, pelvis and back.
